Jo’s Chicken Inato
Jo’s Chicken Inato was first established in 1985 in Dumaguete City, when a couple of Jesse and Josephine Ng observed that the barbecued chicken was a loved dish and sold well in the cities and provinces in Visayas and Mindanao. Jesse and his wife, Josephine, thought of putting up their own restaurant and began making a special recipe distinct from the others.
Jo’s Chicken Inato was derived from Josephine’s name and originated from a shorten word “atin ito” thus “inato” meant the way they cooked their chicken. Compared to other Visayan styled grilled barbecue, their recipe is not salty and has a sweeter taste due to special blend of secret ingredients. The restaurant is not only famous for their chicken inato but also in buko halo-halo, lumpia, pancit macao, bicol express and special lechon kawali .
With sheer guts and confidence, Jo’s Chicken Inato became a successful venture. Opening in 1996, Jo’s Chicken Inato Mandaue has delighted the public with its specially flavored chicken barbecue. When they opened the restaurant, it was well-received by the public and now has branches in Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Iloilo, General Santos, Butuan, Tagbilaran and Quezon City and Cebu.
Jo’s Chicken Inato restaurant has a cozy garden area with a very Filipino motif. While the garden’s furniture is made of bamboo, the tables inside are made of cross-sectional cuts from a narra tree. To be more pleasing to the senses, they serve their barbecued chicken in platters of banana leaf with rice and pickled of papaya or, “atchara.” People are encourage to used their hands when eating at this place ala “kamayan style” .
The Jo’s vision of success is shared throughout their network of restaurants. They invite you to share this vision with and attain your own personal goals along with the rewards that go with a Jo’s Chicken Inato franchise. With a low start up entry cost, a philosophy of serving great food at a great price, a strong brand backed with two decades of success, Jo’s is a great business opportunity to invest in.
