How to make Pineapple Jam

pineapple-jam1 Pineapple Jam is a tasty tangy jam, excellent with pandesal and hot coffee in the morning or spread over on your hot pancakes or with toasted bread.  A perfect pineapple jam  should be golden brown in color, with a sticky texture.  The golden hue comes from the sugar added during the cooking process.  Contrary to what many people think, making pineapple jam is so easy.  You just need to watch the pot and stir it once in a while.  And it doesn’t take long at all. The Pineapple Jam is delicious and nutritious.

Making Pineapple Jam is a good business to start at home with a small capital investment and earns a good profit.

How to make Pineapple Jam

Ingredients:

  • 4 Cups pineapple pieces
  • 4 Cups sugar
  • 1 tsp Citric acid
  • 1/2 tsp Yellow colour
  • 1/2 tsp Pineapple essence

Procedure:

  1. Add water to pine apple pieces.
  2. Cook it over medium flame.
  3. Add sugar while boiling.
  4. Boil it well.
  5. Add citric acid, yellow colour and pineapple essence.
  6. Cook gently with constant stirring until thick and of the right consistency.
  7. Pack the mixture while it is hot in clean glass jars and seal tightly.
  8. Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
  9. Cool, wipe dry, label, and store.
  10. Pine apple Jam is ready.
