Out of Nowhere KitchenOut of Nowhere Kitchen started its operation last October 2016 in dormitory building at Brgy. Alfonso, Lanang, Davao City; because of the interest to come up a place where people can dine, the owners behind the Out of Nowhere Kitchen concept have finally decided to convert it into a restaurant. All parts of the structure were done DIY (Do It Yourself) style. Rooms and fixtures of the building including the interior design were all properly executed by the owners. Other designs such as the murals were done by hand, wherein they hired a local artist to paint them.

The naming of the restaurant was made far from the customer’s belief’s that the place is a rare location which was not easily accessible and difficult to find. Out of Nowhere Kitchen stands for the owner’s goal to provide a unique set up with a diverse line of food and a good place to stay for eating; a place where the management team plan things and share ideas “from out of nowhere”.

Having a strong management from different line of expertise, the three owners of Out of Nowhere Kitchen namely Teddy Uy Tan – Major in Marketing, knowledgeable in construction and structural technicalities; Razel Ann Suy Tan – Major in Entrepreneurship and a graduate of Culinary Studies; and Ralph Lester Tom who’s also a graduate of Culinary Studies specializing Modern French Pastries have built a strong manpower as a support for its smooth operation.

Because of the feedback and demand for Out of Nowhere Kitchen, the company has started branching out and has an approximate headcount of around 35 people. The admin department now has 6 staff members; each has their own specific tasks. Out of Nowhere Kitchen aims to always apply diversity and uniqueness in the menu. Our set menu has no pork to ensure that everyone, regardless of religion or ethnicity can dine within the premises. We provide 3 main categories with subcats: food from appetizer, main course and pastas, bake goods such as small and big cakes and homemade items with only one fish products in oil with 3 variations.

Out of Nowhere Kitchen started joining bazaars to have a closer look at the market outside the restaurants’s location and after 2 months of joining, we now developed and launched new products such as sandwiches, new beef variation and salad. And as we continue to share our food, Out of Nowhere Kitchen plans to expand in two ways: first is to explore prospect areas to build its own branches particularly in Mindanao. We aim to penetrate major cities within the area, avoid mall and focus on standalone locations. Second is to search and deploy future franchisees.

  1. Workers are unprofessional sa branch na yan and can’t handle people’s concerns. Food is priced high already yet their service doesn’t justify their prices. Menu should contain allergen warnings and complete information on ingredients or the workers should atleast know what is in the food they are serving but they do not even know it themselves. A customer is already having allergies but the solution they are offering is to void the order and make a new one instead? Another worker also said we didn’t ask if it had seafood when it should’ve been stated in the menu in the first place & tteokbokki doesn’t have seafood (other than fish) originally

+ No manager on duty as well on a SUNDAY.

PS they removed the review section sa page nila after namin mag leave ng review instead of addressing the issue
