B-LY Fish Frozen Hauz began its operation in 1997 as a retail outlet for Sarangani Prime Bangus Products and various fresh frozen tuna cuts, such as deboned unseasoned, smoked or marinated bangus, ready-to-baked relleno, and fresh frozen sea bass and pompano. The company also sells fresh frozen tuna products such as Panga (jaw), Tiyan (belly), Kinilaw (cubes), Saku (sashimi bar), Buntot (tail), and Bihod (roe). These are what the company considers as their pioneer products. Yet the pride of the company is the Tuna Value-Added Products.   B-LY Fish Frozen Hauz is a member of good standing with the GSC Chamber of Trade and Industry, Inc. and GSC SMED Council.

In 2000, at the emergence of the tuna value-added products as an allied industry of the city’s tuna fishing industry, B-LY consigned TVAP items, such as tuna chorizo and tocino. Sales of these value-added food items grew and the demand continued to increase. In 2006, B-LY attended food processing livelihood trainings and started to produce its own Tuna Value-Added Product line. They now produce 11 types of tuna value-added products.

While there maybe other producers and food processors of this product type within General Santos City, what sets B-LY above them is the manner at which these products are marketed and presented to the public.

The eleven (11) kinds of TVAP manufactured by the company are grouped into 3 categories: Filipino Favorites, Cocktail Cuisine, and Dimsum Delights.

• Filipino Favorites: Chorizo, Embutido, Garlic Longganisa, and Burger Patty
• Coctail Cuisine: Bola-bola, Tocino, Sticks, and Nuggets
• Dimsum Delights: Siomai, Dumpling, Spring Rolls

At present, B-LY Fish Frozen Hauz is owned and managed by Spouses Berlin and Darlyn Tupas. They continue to develop high quality processed foods that are “delectaB-LY healthy, affordaB-LY delicious.”
