Apr 21st, 2010 | Category: Food, How to Make
Soynut Butter is a new sandwich spread made from fresh roasted soybeans. It is remarkably similar to peanut butter in taste and texture but has significantly less total and saturated fat than peanut butter. Soynut Butter is cholesterol free, and is high in protein. Soynut Butter is now being used as a peanut butter alternative in some bread and cookie recipes or anywhere else you would use peanut butter because of its health benefits.
Soynut butter is available in some supermarkets in creamy and crunchy textures and is sold in 15oz. jars. Making Soynut Butter is so simple and a good business to start in your home.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups roasted nuts, whole or broken
- Unrefined oil
- Sea salt
Procedures:
- Soaked the soybeans in water overnight.
- The soybeans were then rinsed, drained and roasted.
- Place 1 1/2 cups whole or broken roasted nuts in a blender.
- Cover and whirl until nuts are finely ground.
- Add the oil (amount varies for each kind of nut), a small amount at a time, whirling after each addition.
- Add salt to taste and blend 30 seconds, or until very smooth.
Note:
- Start and stop blender as necessarv and use a spatula to keep all the butter in motion.
- The nut mixture is thick, so make nut butters in small batches to avoid overtaxing the blender motor.
