Bangus Resto
Bangus Resto was owned and managed by renowned restaurateurs and sisters Erlinda de Mesa Yap and Diana de Mesa Santamaria. On September 22, 1982, they opened the BANGUS RESTAURANT at the Crossroad Arcade in Greenhills, San Juan, an instant smash among foodies everywhere.
Bangus Resto specialty was bangus (milkfish) cooked in many different ways. Some of the products offered are Bangus Prime- Cut ( All Bangus belly): Bistek,Fried Milk Fish Belly with Sampaloc Candy Sauce and Crispy Kangkong, Paksiw,Bangus Ala Pobre, sizzling Bangus, and the no. 1 selling Sinigang na Prime-cut. Around 30 percent of the restaurant menu consists of Bangus dishes.
There are also choices of non-bangus sizzling specialties, vegetables dishes and soups. Many of the dishes are cooked the traditional way. Therefore, customers are assured of the quality and consistency of the products offered. Their objective is to keep people interested in our restaurant as well as providing them with healthier options.
The recipe for the sisters’ success has never changed. Shunning the ivory tower, they personally oversee the day-to-day business of all the outlets. They put a premium on creativity and innovation which allows the restaurants to be always exciting. They also believe in research and development which puts them on the cutting edge of dining trends. Above all, they practice the highest standards of honesty and fairness whether dealing with employees, suppliers or customers.
Little wonder that the restaurant is still growing. With its holding company now known as BANGUS REPUBLIC INC., the restaurant has managed to move its main outlet to the highly-accessible Connecticut Carpark in Greenhills Shopping Center. It also boasts of strategically-placed branches in Robinson’s Galleria, SM Mall of Asia., and the newly opened branch at SM Megamall.
When it comes to serving up the tasty milkfish, only one name pleases the taste buds — BANGUS SPECIALTY RESTAURANT.
For nearly 25 years, this one-of-a-kind dining place has been delighting certified food-lovers looking for the best dining experience the city has to offer.
