SOLEREX Water Technologies, Inc. is a medium-sized corporation engaged in the sale, franchising, and management of water refilling stations. SOLEREX has likewise firmly established itself as a competent and trustworthy supplier of water filtration, sterilization and purification equipment throughout its 14 years existence in the field.
The company was established in 1986 originally as an operating division of a hotel interior design company, DESIGNMASTERS, INC. As such, hotel it took charge of the water treatment, conditioning, purification, recycling and sewerage systems and/or equipment requirements of the company’s clients.
After four (4) years in this capacity SOLEREX was spun off on October 17, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines as a totally separate, independent business entity. This was done in order to meet growing demand for its service and products independent from that of its mother company.
After it was spun off, SOLEREX concentrated on marketing its reverse osmosis, water filtration and purification systems and its bottled water brand, CYSTAL CLEAR PURIFIED WATER. It has expanded its client base by 60% and sold an average of 600 gallons a day of its bottled water.
In 1996 its Chairman, Dr. Ricardo S, Soler was awarded Inventor’s Patent No. 20509 by the Philippine Patent Office and a plaque of appreciation by the Department of Science and Technology for his Innovative approach and in recognition of his contribution to the development of Philippine water technology.
Through its unique outlook of developing water filters and purifiers “transcending today’s concepts” and its aggressive problem-solving approach to water processing, SOLEREX has been able to amass a wealth of water technology data unmatched in this country. It has accumulated numerous solutions and invaluable resources through effective networking with leading equipment manufacturers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, the Middle East, and Russia.
In 1997, SOLEREX ventured into the water refilling station business. Utilizing its expertise and supplier channels in reverse osmosis, filtration and purification systems, the Company was able to offer the market superior equipment at a relatively low cost. This coupled with the strong name recall of the Crystal Clear brand, enabled SOLEREX to expand at a fast rate, building the 3rd most extensive water stations franchise store network in the country after only two years.
Today, SOLEREX has a nationwide network of over 85 operating stores. Of this number, three stores are company-owned and the rest are franchised operations. The Company has also sold over 56 non-franchise stores since 1997.
