Mr. Softy Ice Cream

Mr. Softy ice cream is the number one soft serve ice cream in the philippines with more than 175 outlets nationwide.

Mr. Softy is in the business of franchising as well as the manufacture & retail of ice cream flavor mixes for soft serve machines.

Mr. Softy is an appealing investment as Filipinos have a natural love for ice cream, and the product can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With 30 flavors with various sprinkles and dips to choose from, there is a Mr. Softy cone for everybody.

Mr. Softy also offers party packages for special occasions. For a fee of Php 3,000, Mr. Softy will serve 300 to 350 cones, including the delivery, service of the crew. For an additional Php 1,500, parties can also be graced by the Mr. Softy mascot.

Having been in the business for six years now, Mr. Softy has built a loyal customer base. In fact, response to their ice cream is consistently overwhelming; most franchisees are able to get return of their investments in 12 months or less.

A Mr. Softy franchise costs of Php 455,000 for malls, while Php 350,000 to Php 400, 000 for outlets outside the malls, like busy streets, markets, schools, smaller arcades. This includes a Mr. Softy cart, initial inventory, training, security deposit, processing fee, training of the owners and the crew and uniforms of staff. To top it off, Mr. Softy does not collect royalty fees or franchise fees.

    hi! Just a warning to those who are interested in franchising this company. If you want to avoid headache, avoid franchising this company. This company is very unproffesional, they are not true to their word. When problems comes the boss will pass you around they won’t talk to you they won’t even help you. BUt they will charge a lot. IF you really want this company i suggest you try to interview franchisees in malls who invested already.. and u’ll find out that 90 percent are unhappy w/ the performance.

    The compnay might give you a forecast of sales, study it well. coz there a lot of flaws in it.. it may sound unbelievable.
    One is, the costs of goods you buy from them are w/o vat but when u actually buy the product theres a 12 % vat. where in the forecast it wasn’t included.
    next the machine cannot produce the ice cream they have forecasted, its very unlikely.. it will overheat.
    3rd they have no preventive maintanance on the machine, yes they’ll send a technician but will they fix it? no
    but on your bill they will place a huge amount amountin to maybe 2 weeks of ur sales for the maintance that didn’t reaaly happen
    and when you wnt to talk to them about it theyl just pass you around the bush.
    4th the contract we signed is between a name of mr.softy franchising and me, later on i found out that the contracting partner has already abolished their company. making the contract invalid.. W/o telling the franchisees.

    5th, papaassahin ka nila, that it will get better, i think it won’t . their tactic is for you to find a location tapos if they find it profitable, papalgihin ka nila para they could buy the place from you.
